J Logan Architects has a long-standing reputation for designing public and private buildings that combine a strong sense of craftsmanship with energy responsible design. In light of the overwhelming evidence of global climate change the firm now focuses exclusively on buildings with very low carbon emissions. These featured projects reflect those values.

Residences, community projects and commercial buildings alike are designed as part of a collaborative process between site and form, interior and exterior, and client and architect. First the essential elements of the site are distilled from the point of view of the client and the spaces are established around those connections. Building forms then arise followed by the selection of materials and state-of-the-art green technologies that make the most sense for a specific project.

Paramount to every design is an ecological and environmental awareness that can include the pursuit of LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification. Whether pursuing certification or not J Logan Architects believes in and utilizes the practices of the Green Building Rating System.

With an overall emphasis on the personal experience J Logan Architects seeks to keep clients as involved as possible from the initial design phase through to the building’s conclusion. Experience has proven that clients who participate in every aspect of their project are likely to be the most satisfied with the end results.
